Screenshots Gallery
Note: I'm sorry for the lack of style and presentation of this page
I has been programming screenshots gallery instead.
Screenshots Gallery is a gallery for screenshots that look something
like this, It has some neat
features:
- A bash script that take and upload the screenshots using a ssh or ftp
connection.
- A powerfull template engine(basically a php file with the needed objects
at hand, what could be more powerful than that?).
- Automatic generation of thumbnails and web version of the screenshots.
- Multiple language support (Currently English and Spanish, the strings
list is really short, soo you should be able to translate it to your language
really fast).
- "Taken 2 Months, 15 Days ago" style text, taken from
NatBat
time_since() function.
RSS Feeds, Title/Description database storage and a Windows based uploader are
on their way!.
Download
You can download the last development version from the svn server:
http://svn.levhita.net/screenshots_gallery
You can download the current stable version on a tar.gz
file from here:
http://levhita.net/screenshots_gallery/releases/
Install
Currently the install is a basic untar-configure-enjoy
- Untar the downloaded file on your web server.
- Edit config.php to your own settings (ignore database settings for now,
there isn't database support right now).
- Copy the scripts on
client_scripts
folder to your *nix
based computer
- Select your prefered upload method (ssh or ftp), and edit the selected
script configuration.
- Make some nice shortcuts on your gnome-panel or add a keyboard key binding with
xbindkeys
- Run it and look your screenshot be taken and uploaded to the server,
go to your web server installation and see your screenshot appear auto-magically
Note:Ok, it's a lazy step-by-step installation instructions
but I'm busy developing the software.
